The Cannabis Beverage Association (CBA) is a national, non-profit trade association established to represent and support the rapidly growing cannabis beverage industry. Our mission is to unite cannabis beverage industry stakeholders and advance the collective interests of the industry through advocacy and education.
The CBA has four core areas of focus:
Government Affairs
To use public processes to educate and address inequities impacting the cannabis beverage industry.
Education
For the purpose of public health and safety, develop informative education programs.
Industry Standards + Research
To undertake development of industry standards, and conduct scientific research on cannabis beverages, including the study, analysis, and the accumulation and dissemination of information obtained from such research.
Cooperative Marketing
To build awareness of cannabis beverages and the CBA through advertising and marketing.
I founded the CBA because I saw some real challenges that this nascent segment of the cannabis industry would face. Having been a founding member and elected president of the CCCA and participating in it’s successful grass-roots efforts shape the cannabis delivery segment of the industry and the regulations to the benefit of delivery operators and customers across the state, I pulled together my peers and friends in this space to cooperatively work towards more sensible regulations as well as educating consumers and policy makers on the amazing benefits of infused beverages.
By creating beverage-first programming, activations, and strategies, we can help brands move the needle at retail and engage with both the trade and consumers in entirely new ways.
With great opportunity, comes even greater responsibility, and I personally know all too well the pain, hardships, and inequality prohibition of cannabis has created. This sudden shift to a legalized market is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of historic change. But this change also requires a seismic shift in consciousness and awareness. As early adopters, and innovators, there are still many mountains that need to be moved to create equitable access, and cross the chasm to start the healing process.
To leverage out united strength to highlight and educate the trade and consumers on the superior benefits of cannabis consumption through beverages.
